Course content
Antimicrobial and immunosupressive therapy after lung transplantation. Combined bronchodilatation and antiinflammatory therapy of bronchial diseases (COPD, bronchial asthma). Biological treatment of bronchial asthma. Pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment of emphysema. Biological treatment and immunotherapy of lung cancer. New antibiotics in respiratory infections. Antifibrotic therapy of interstitial lung diseases.Therapeutic bronchoscopy and non-invasive ventilation. Complex therapy of sleep disorders including telemetric measurements. New moderu therapy of cystic fibrosis. Chest drainage. Pleurodesis.

Learning outcomes
Subject acquaints with new trends in treatment of respiratory diseases. It informs about up to date pharmacological and non-phamacological therapy on basis of evidence based medicine including multicentric clinical studies.
Sufficient knowledge of preclinical subjects and basic principles of internal medicine.
Prerequisites
Accomplished 4 th year of general medicine. Knowledge of radiology, pharmacology, internal propedeutic and basic knowledge of internal medicine.
