Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the field of psychology, to familiarize them with possible areas of research within this field, as well as with the types of data that are common to the field of psychology.
A graduate of this course will be able to: - describe the basic psychological professions and disciplines, including the main directions of their research - define the basic principles of psychology as a science, including research approaches - identify the types of data generated in psychological research - define the basic psychological processes, their characteristics, and research possibilities - reflect on their own experiences of different psychological phenomena in the context of the literature - describe the most common myths in psychology, including how they originated and why they are myths - use knowledge of communication and active listening to define the tasks of data analysis

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Seminar Work

Emphasis will be placed on the student's activity by completing ongoing tasks, creating a joint project, working with professional literature, and reflecting on it. From these tasks, a final portfolio will be designed, document the acquired knowledge, and be part of the final oral exam. Credit For credit, it will be necessary to collect min. 100 points. Points can be collected by completing ongoing tasks and attending (1 meeting = 5 points). Exam The exam will take the form of a portfolio discussion. It may include additional questions covering the topics covered in the course.
