Course content
Self- knowledge and self-awareness as preconditions in self-management: 1. Methods of self-knowledge (registration and analysis of own thinking, behaviour, feedback from others, psychological diagnostics) 2. Influence on self-concept (personality, culture, gender, etc.) 3. Predispositions to performance within self-management: Concentration of attention Stress, work with stress, relaxation techniques, mental stability Time-management (time record of the day, time thieves, time management methods, day planning methods, planning tools) Memory and invention 4. Predispositions to active approach to goals: Motives and needs Self-motivation (aspiration, volitional properties, target-orientation, goal setting) External motivation (in a company) and extra-company influence Career anchors 5. Predispositions to evaluation: Values and attitudes Interpersonal values The course has been prepared within the Project CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0138 "Education modularization in management and psychology at the University of Palacky in Olomouc via innovation and interconnection of economic and psychological study programmes".

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Projection (static, dynamic), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)

  • Preparation for the Exam - 15 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course familiarizes students with the knowledge, skills and competence in the field of self-recognition, self-awareness and self-management. The objective is to recognize which abilities, skills and competence can be developed and controlled in them with respect to their professions, and they can learn to work with them in an active manner.
