Course content
|
The selection of the equipment in which it is possible to carry out an internship is limited to those devices, where psychologist works a full-time.It is possible to choose from variety Educational-psychological centres, Special Educational Centres and Centres of educational care in ČR. The basic offer of workplaces, where the student can perform the practice, is part of the Partner network of the Department of psychology. Student is during practice present to a variety of psychological work (diagnosis, intervention, consultation with parents, an interview with a student, research activities) The practice is conceived to 40 hours of stay in school counselling facilitiy, which means 5 working days. Intermediate objectives for the student: - meet the logistical, technical and human resources of the organization - to get to know within the workplace the focus of its operations experts and their interventions for clients - to get to know how the work with clients is happening, the student is present for a psychological examination as far as possible from their beginning, i.e.. from the initial interview after interview with the child and the parents to the outcome of the assessment - to get an overview of the documentation in the facility - the student will study the materials those clients that will see during the examination and reads the messages from these examinations - after training by mentor student will work with a typical client of this service, the student will have the opportunity to lead interview with the child, event. apply any of the methods under the supervision of a psychologist - to know the view of the workers of the organization on the current situation in the educational and psych. advice -get from his mentorsome "message" for eventual professional work in the area of psychological counseling to participate in the research project according to the needs of the practical organization and the agreement with the guarantor of the Department and get to know the areas in which further research is needed to be done - Finally, to evaluate the progress of the practice and provide feedback (in addition, there will be also written evaluation) This subject is upgraded with new procedures within the partner network of the Department of psychology. Innovation of the subject originated in the framework of the project CZ. 1.07/2.4.00/31.0153 "the emergence and development of partnership networks for the implementation of training and applied research-Department of Psychology FF UP Olomouc".

Learning outcomes
|
Student will understand the system educational and psychological counselling and gain knowledge and skills for psychological consulting work in this area
- Student has an idea about the functioning of school counseling in practice, he knows who are the clients of such service, how they have to book, what they are offered, what are the outputs from the visit, to whom they are told the results of the assessment, to whom are sent written outcomes - He knows the basic principles of the functioning and the normal operation of the selected Workstation - He knows the content of the key documents to which the provision of services is bound - He has an overview of the dg. methods used in school advisory facility, he knows the principles of their use - he knows how to establish a conversation with the client - He is able to make a research contact with the client starting with obtaining informed consent, through getting the research data using the selected methods to provide feedback - He can keep notes on the progress of the work with the client and the whole internship. - He can reflect his/her personal approach and ethical dimension of work at the workplace.

Passing 2.part of study psychology, interest in consultancy work in the field of education.

Assessment methods and criteria

Student performance, Didactic Test
Before entering the workplace, the student is obliged to acquaint with legal standards, which are related to the consulting activities in the field of education, and in particular: The Education Act 561/2004 Coll. on pre-school, basic secondary, higher vocational and other education (the Education Act); Decree 73/2005 Coll., Decree of the education of children, pupils and students with special educational needs, and children, pupils and students an exceptionally gifted and its later Amendment No 147/2011 Sb. The Decree 72/2005 Coll. on the provision of advisory services in schools and educational counselling facilities and its later Amendment No 116/2011 Sb. Following the completion of practice student passes supervisor: -written processing of his/her notes from each day during the course of practice, new knowledge, methods, comparing the approaches of individual counselling for workers, their own insights and reflection -confirmation of the completion of the internship The students, whose practices are kept in the EDIS, will link this output in electronic form to the EDIS not later than 14 days after the end of the practice. Other students deliver outputs to dr.Smékalová in person/via email.
