Course content
When selecting the workplace, the Ss follow the information on the 'Psychology in Social Services' module workplaces within the Partner Network of the Department of Psychology. If the student prefers completion of the practical training outside the Partner Network, the workplace must be approved in advance by the course guarantee (see below). Familiarisation with the major tasks of the workplace Specific methods of the workplace where the training takes place Major problems and their solutions by the workplace Methods of analysing labour and psychological professiography Methods to identify the criteria of success Basic approaches to consultancy, expert advice and research Methods in personnel psychology Basic methods of the psychology of organisation and management Specific methods for the choice and evaluation of hazardous professions Specific methods to staff specialists Specific methods to staff managers The ABCs of ethics in diagnostics Psychological research in a workplace The course has been innovated with new practices within the Partner Network of the Department of Psychology. The course has been innovated within the Project CZ.1.07/2.4.00/31.0153 "Establishment and development of partner networks for the implementation of internships and applied research at the Department of Psychology FF UP Olomouc".

Learning outcomes
Acquisition of basic practical skills in selected procedures, methods and techniques, including their evaluation.
Ss gain an overview of all analytical and diagnostic methods and procedures that are frequently used in occupational psychology. Ss know the methodological approaches, procedures, methods of evaluation and interpretation of selected occupational psychology methods. Ss know about the ethical principles of the work with a client. Ss know the basic methodological procedures of the applied research. Ss are able to analyse an occupation and make a reference psychological professiogram. Ss are able to work with computer psychodiagnostic methods. Ss are able to apply standard methods of occupational psychology, including their evaluation and interpretation. Ss are able to propose an applied psychological research project.

Assessment methods and criteria
Systematic Observation of Student

Training via EDIS: The credit is granted based on the following: a) Proof of completion of the training at a given workplace b) The quality of a student's paper (report consisting of 3 to 5 standard pages) containing: 1. Description of the major tasks of the workplace, problems dealt with within the workplace, overview of the standard methods applied within the major tasks, including their purpose, 2. Findings (contribution to the studies, to the course Occupational Psychology and to the Diploma Thesis), acquired skills (in which methods and procedures), experience related to the organisation of work with clients, application of diagnostic methods, in writing the character reference, etc., impressions from the training (workplace's interest in the interns, organisation of the practical training at higher numbers of interns, workplace's respect of the ethical principles in working with clients, in the contact of the student and 'real' clients, the total rate of satisfaction-dissatisfaction from the training, etc.) c) Ss upload the output (see b)) in the electronic form into EDIS within 2 weeks after the end of the training. Training outside EDIS (in organisations and institutions not ruled by the formal relationships of the Department of Psychology FF UP): Ss must identify a workplace for this type of training and obtain a preliminary agreement from the company representative. Next, Ss contact the guarantee of the trainings/internships by e-mail (doc. Vtípil), who approves/disapproves of the choice. If approved, Ss obtain a relevant syllabus, which corresponds to the study programme, from the guarantee. The credit is granted if the requirements in a) and b) above are met - see (training via EDIS). Both the outputs (a) and b) are sent by e-mail to the guarantee of the training, who informs the Ss whether those are acceptable or not.
