Course content
- Definition of cyberpsychology, cyberculture, the information society, and the Internet of Things (IoT) - Positive and negative aspects of online and offline technologies and their impact on the human psyche - The transformation of human communication into virtual environments and social networks - Online identity, cybersex, emotions, and relationships in virtual environments - The use of digital technologies in relation to the development of the human psyche - Virtual reality and VR applications in psychological practice - E-health and telemedicine, SmartHealth - Psychological aspects of artificial intelligence - Digital well-being and ergonomics - Cybersecurity and criminal activity in virtual environments

Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
The main objective of the course Cyberpsychology is to introduce students to keep some of the young "approach" in psychology, which is due to the progressive development of Information and Communication Technologies, nowadays practically a necessity. Students have the opportunity to get the current knowledge about the interaction of human-cyberspace-society. The subject aims to highlight the positive, negative and scientific dimension to use cyberspace with practical implications for the field of psychology.
Students will understand the basics of the cyberpsychology. They will acquire basic terminology and theory to understand the possibilities of its application in psychological practice and research. Students will be able to understand the basic methods of cyberpsychology.
Prerequisites
Orientation in general psychology, social psychology, cognitive psychology, educational psychology, clinical psychology, work psychology and personality psychology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Demonstration of understanding of basic terms and approaches of cyberpsychology during the oral exam. Active involvement in the course of teaching. As part of the credit for completing a short, practically oriented written assignment, either individually or in groups.
