The aim of the course is to introduce students in major concepts related to organizational climate and culture as well as organizational behavior. Another goal is to prepare students for their future active roles in creating and shaping organizational climate and culture in their jobs. Organizational culture is given a lot of attention as a significant predictor of competitiveness from descriptive and dynamic points of view. The graduates will be ready for work in specific company development situations, concerning both diagnostics and intervention, in small or big organizations. Specific attention is focused on the differentiation of tools for diagnosis and intervention in climate and culture.
Listener: - can define major and related notions of organizational climate and culture. - can describe components and levels of organizational culture. - can describe the dynamic aspect of organizational culture. - can list and explain major theories of organizational culture, including diagnostic tools. - determines a suitable research design of organizational climate and culture. - carries out research in organizational climate and culture. - interprets findings on organizational climate, values, habits, practices, etc. - determines suitable interventions.
