This BIP course explores the integration of cutting-edge technological advancements with a human-centred approach, aiming to enhance the meaningfulness and quality of work in contemporary organisations. It examines the challenges and opportunities that emerging technologies - such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and digital collaboration tools - present in the modern workplace, while emphasising the importance of maintaining human values, social connections, and ethical considerations in work processes. Developed and coordinated by a network of partner institutions and experts from organisational practice, the course benefits from clearly defined roles in programme and content development to ensure smooth delivery and high-quality educational experiences. Over five intensive days, participants will engage in a blended learning format combining expert-led lectures, interactive workshops, collaborative group projects, excursions to organisations, and enriching cultural events and activities.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to: - Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of contemporary HRM/WOP theories and complexity theory applications. - Apply advanced measurement tools and organisational games to diagnose and address complex organisational challenges in dynamic environments. - Critically evaluate and implement participative, decentralised, and network-based HRM strategies that empower teams, foster collaboration, and promote self-organisation. - Integrate positive organisational psychology principles to energise employees, develop competencies, and cultivate motivational and innovative workplace environments. - Develop practical skills in using agile HRM frameworks and assessment tools through interactive workshops and group projects. - Enhance intercultural and intergenerational communication and teamwork capabilities in diverse organisational settings. - Reflect on ethical considerations and human values in aligning technology with workforce well-being and organisational effectiveness. - Collaborate effectively in multicultural and multi-institutional contexts, contributing to the sustainable development of organisations facing rapidly evolving work environments. This integrated approach fosters learning, practical skill development, intercultural exchange, and personal growth, providing a holistic and stimulating environment that prepares students to address the evolving complexities of technology-enhanced workplaces with empathy and innovation. The course cultivates the ability to harmonise technological progress with human-centred values, equipping learners to lead meaningful change in dynamic, ethically conscious organisations across global contexts. Graduates will be well prepared to design, lead, and support workplaces where cutting-edge technology and human values combine to enhance meaningful work and organisational success.
