Course content

Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) - physical mobility from 23 March 2026 to 27 March 2026, plus one day of virtual activities. The programme combines interactive lectures, hands-on workshops, group discussions, and real-world case studies, along with informal café talks, and cultural excursions. Learning methods also include group projects that encourage the practical application of knowledge. Discussions and case studies foster critical thinking and skills development. This multifaceted approach promotes active learning, critical thinking, and practical skill development. Participants will collaboratively explore agile HRM frameworks, advanced assessment tools, and strategies to harmonise technology with human values in the workplace. The models reflect major trends towards digitalisation, employee empowerment, data-driven decision-making, and the ethical use of new technologies, helping HR leaders manage workforce complexity in rapidly changing environments.

Learning outcomes

This course provides a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of modern Human Resource Management (HRM) and Work and Organisational Psychology (WOP) strategies to address complex organisational challenges in rapidly changing environments, drawing on recent research and practical experience. The curriculum focuses on agile management principles that emphasise flexibility, collaboration, and team empowerment, alongside Management 3.0 concepts that promote adaptive leadership in complex, dynamic systems. Students engage with advanced diagnostic tools and organisational games to assess and improve performance, and explore how complexity theory applies to organisations as dynamic, adaptive systems, requiring flexible leadership and management styles. Exploring organisations as complex adaptive systems, the course highlights the role of positive organisational psychology in energising employees, fostering competence, and creating innovation-driven, healthy workplaces. Moving beyond traditional command-and-control, it advocates participative, decentralised, and network-based management approaches that support resilience and self-organisation. Through a combination of lectures, workshops, group projects, and case studies, students develop practical skills and critical thinking, including the ethical alignment of technology with human values. This immersive learning experience equips graduates to lead ethical, innovative, and employee-centred organisations, with a mindset capable of thriving amid technological change and complexity while driving sustainable development and positive organisational impact. This prepares them for leadership and specialist roles in diverse organisational settings, where they can drive sustainable development and positive organisational change.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to: - Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of contemporary HRM/WOP theories and complexity theory applications. - Apply advanced measurement tools and organisational games to diagnose and address complex organisational challenges in dynamic environments. - Critically evaluate and implement participative, decentralised, and network-based HRM strategies that empower teams, foster collaboration, and promote self-organisation. - Integrate positive organisational psychology principles to energise employees, develop competencies, and cultivate motivational and innovative workplace environments. - Develop practical skills in using agile HRM frameworks and assessment tools through interactive workshops and group projects. - Enhance intercultural and intergenerational communication and teamwork capabilities in diverse organisational settings. - Reflect on ethical considerations and human values in aligning technology with workforce well-being and organisational effectiveness. - Collaborate effectively in multicultural and multi-institutional contexts, contributing to the sustainable development of organisations facing rapidly evolving work environments.
