Course content
The output of the student's activities in the subject Dissertation project consultations 2 is the proposal of the dissertation project, which the student defends. Successful completion of this course (i.e. successful defence of the dissertation project plan) is a condition for successful completion of the 1st year of study and continuation of further study. For the defense from the subject Dissertation project consultations 2, it is necessary to prepare written documentation, which will be submitted to the guarantor of the course no later than 10 working days before the exam date (deadline according to IS STAG). The student uploads the documentation to the required extent in the MOODLE course. The defense of the intent of the dissertation project will take place in the form of a discussion lasting 30 minutes. The student demonstrates the ability to respond, solve and answer questions asked for a dissertation project in front of a committee. Defending the intention of the dissertation project takes place in the language of study (CZ / EN). The documentation must contain the following annexes: A) Basic document of the project B) Pre-project phase C) Research proposal (Ideological and technical part) D) Logical framework E) Risk analysis F) Schedule / Gantt chart G) Budget Optional document: A) Stakeholder analysis and communication plan The scope of individual documents is defined in separate annexes. * Abbreviations of the subject according to IS STAG: PCH/95K2A, PCH/95K2B, PCH/95K2M, PCH/95K2N

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is the structured preparation of a dissertation project plan so that it is feasible in the given period of doctoral studies and meets the requirements in terms of professional (methodological) and content according to the criteria of the DSP programme. The course includes individual or group consultations between the student and the supervisor. The consultations take place at regular predefined intervals and the supervisor takes the role of a mentor, reflecting the student's autonomy in the preparation of the specific dissertation project. The output of the student's activity is a dissertation project proposal, which the student presents and defends. Successful completion of this course (i.e. successful defence of the dissertation project plan) is a condition for successful completion of the first year of study and continuation of further studies.
