The aim of the course is the structured preparation of a dissertation project plan to meet the requirements in terms of professional (methodological) and content according to the criteria of the DSP programme. The course content is the preparation of information sources, proven procedures, techniques and tools for the preparation of a specific dissertation project plan. The basis of the course are consultations conducted individually or in groups between the student and the supervisor. During the consultation, the dissertation project plan is discussed with emphasis on the research problem (state of the art, work with literature), project objectives, research design (data collection, data evaluation, statistical methods, data interpretation and implementation in practice) and application of the results in practice. The student is pointed to information sources relevant to the topic, and to authorities in the field from whom he/she can obtain feedback on the dissertation project objectives and planned procedures. The student works mainly independently, with emphasis on methods of pre-research, feasibility studies, risk analysis, analysis of specific basic research development or analysis of specific practice needs. The student focuses his/her activities on continuing education and attendance at professional meetings relevant to the topic of the intended work. Through these forms of work, the student prepares the basis for consultations with the supervisor. Consultations take place at regular, predetermined intervals and the supervisor takes on the role of a mentor, reflecting the student's autonomy in the preparation of the specific dissertation project.
