Přednášející: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Betül Dilara Şeker Abstrakt: This workshop provides an advanced social-psychological exploration of contemporary global shifts, specifically designed for doctoral researchers. Drawing on extensive empirical research, the session will first examine the acculturation and adaptation processes of migrant and refugee populations through the lens of the "Conflict and Migration Culture Model." We will then pivot to disaster psychology, analyzing longitudinal insights into psychosocial recovery, social resilience, and post-traumatic growth following major natural disasters. Finally, the workshop will address the burgeoning field of the social psychology of Artificial Intelligence, investigating themes of anthropomorphism, AI anxiety, and the digital transformation of social identities. Participants will engage with complex theoretical frameworks and evidence-based strategies for analyzing human behavior in high-stakes, evolving environments. Medailonek přednášející: Betül Dilara Şeker is an Associate Professor of Social Psychology and the current Head of the Psychology Department at Van Yüzüncü Y?l University, Türkiye. She earned her PhD from Ege University, where she conducted foundational research on acculturation processes, individualism-collectivism tendencies, and values within migrant populations. Her academic portfolio spans over two decades, with a primary focus on the intersection of migration studies, disaster psychology, and the emerging social-psychological impacts of technology. Dr. Şeker has led numerous national and international research projects and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on subjects ranging from post-earthquake psychosocial adaptation to the digital transformation of social identities. In addition to her research and administrative roles, she serves as an editor for the journal Border Crossing.
