Course content
Practical training 11 includes clinical practice enabling students to apply in the conditions of a health service provider the theoretical knowledge and practical skills they have acquired through the study of theoretical and practical disciplines. It provides a space for improving skills and work habits, leading students to independence, responsibility and teamwork. The content of the practice is the provision of nursing care by the method of nursing process in patients focusing on the specifics of needs in the areas of health promotion, nutrition, excretion, activity, rest, perception - cognition, self-perception, relationships, sexuality, coping, safety-protection, comfort, growth and development. Within this individual clinical teaching, students improve their competencies in providing basic and specialized nursing care at selected workplaces. Clinical practice is led by mentors. The course of the internship is recorded in the Nursing Practice Record.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is: - improving the competences of a general nurse in providing basic nursing care at selected workplaces - improving the competences of a general nurse in providing specialized nursing care at selected workplaces - use of theoretical knowledge in the conditions of clinical practice - application of practical skills in providing nursing care in clinical practice - improving work habits, responsibilities and teamwork - strengthening students' independence in providing nursing care in clinical practice
