Course content
Specificaion of principal topics of subject: Laboratory diagnostic in haematology Non-oncological haematology - anaemia, disorders of leucocyte system, disorders of primary haemostasis, inborn bleeding conditions, acquired bleeding disorders, antithromobotic therapy. Oncological haematology Principles of good processing practice, immunohaematological examination methods, different kinds of transfusion products and blood derivates. Rational haemotherapy, transfusion reactions.

Learning outcomes
The subject is designed theroretically as well as practically based with focus on to the specific field of clinical haematology and transfusion medicine. The accent is on gaining knowledge abou clinical symptoms of blood diseases, bleeding disorders and haemotherapy. The issue is going across many clinical specialties. For that reason the students will meet it in practice in internal as well as in surgical disciplines. The subject informs studying about terminology, methods of investigation, common clinical conditions and specificity in patients with blood diseases, bleeding disorders and blood malignancies. Transfusion medicine is concerned about principles of haemotherapy, different kinds of transfusion products and blood derivates, possible transfusion reactions and basic examination methods in immunohaematology.
The student will get summary about fundamentals of issue in clinical haematology, coagulation and haemotherapy which he will meet in all types of clinical departments.
