Course content
The subject is implemented in the scope of 36 hours, of which 10 contact hours (4 sem. and 6 cv.) and 26 non-contact hours. Relevance of retrieved sources; critical evaluation of retrieved texts; retrieval of relevant sources using Boolean Operators and search words; Qualitative distinction of professional periodicals- Impact Factor, index periodicals, periodicals database VaV, blind review; requirements for full text writers; Structure of professional articles; reference methods; author' s text with paraphrasing. Citation methods and norms in bibliographic full text sources; progress versions in writing and appropriate document formats and their transfer. Guidelines for bachelor and master theses at the Faculty of Health Sciences; formulation of a question or problem related to the thesis; formulation of objectives and choice of data collection methods; formal layout of the thesis; date and way of submission; Preparation for the defence and its parts; requirements for the title of the thesis; attributes of the thesis submission including an annotation.

Learning outcomes
Students will gain background knowledge how to write their bachelor thesis in the field of nursing, they will know formal requirements for the thesis. Students will gain knowledge of data retrieval from relevant bibliographic sources, the way of text reference; the procedures connected to progress text versions and usage of citation apparatus. They will be informed about the thesis defence conception.
Upon completion of the seminars students will be able to do a background research associated to the given topic; to elaborate a text with fulfilled requirements for the standardized page with reference to the bibliographic sources. They will be able to formulate a question or a problem related to the bachelor thesis and its objectives and will be able to determine methods used for data collection. The will know the concept of chapters and the annotation of the bachelor thesis. The will understand the form of the thesis defence and the preparation for it.

Submission of assignment for the bachelor thesis.
