Main topics: The concept of transcultural, multicultural nursing Intercultural communication, barriers, specifics, alternative communication. Ethnocentrism. Cultural care theory - Leininger, Davidhizar. Religious rituals.

Learning outcomes
The course will provide students with knowledge and practical skills in the field of transcultural nursing. It will inform about transcultural nursing with the concept of culture. It will explain nursing in connection with anthropology supported by nursing theory, research, and practice. It will cover specifics of the minority group cultures. The course is taught in English. The condition for the course to run is a minimum of two enrolled students.
