Course content
Ischaemic heart disease, acute and chronic forms, diagnosis and treatment, arrhythmia, Hypertension, diagnosis and treatment. Risk factors for atherosclerosis, lower-limb obliterative atherosclerosis and stroke. Cardiovascular rehabilitation; the basic idea, indications, contraindications, practical application and benefits. Musculoskeletal diseases; progressive polyarthritis, degenerative diseases of the joints and spine, extraarticular rheumatic syndromes. Pneumology; chronic bronchitis, TB, bronchial asthma, silicosis. Diabetes mellitus - types I and II, diagnosis, treatment, patient education, intensive regimens.

Learning outcomes
The seminars using audio-visual technology continue with the same character of tuition, with respect to the field of study. Diet regimen and dietary and movement restrictions in individual diseases are also taught.
Students become familiar with the most common diseases in internal medicine, especially those also treated by physiotherapy and rehabilitation. The information includes aetiopathogenesis and manifestations of diseases, their diagnosis, treatment and optimal rehabilitation plan.
