Course content
- The concept of transcultural, multicultural nursing -The concept of culture, ethnicity, society, common and different characteristics. -Cultural and ethnic concepts of health, disease, death, rituals, specifics. -Multicultural society in the Czech Republic, migration. -Intercultural communication, barriers, specifics, alternative possibilities of communication. -Etnocentrism and its consequences in nursing care for individuals. -Nursing assessment - KM Leininger, Davidhizar. -Vocation of a nurse in a cultural concept - the specifics of care options.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Demonstration, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
The course deals with the culture of minority groups. It emphasizes the transcultural approach of the nurse in the nursing process.
After completing the course, the student will be able to understand the issues and importance of transcultural nursing and its use in clinical practice.
