Course content
|
Visit to a selected company or workplace where students will become familiar with the application of modern optical and technological processes in the manufacture of optical components. Visit to a selected clinical facility specializing in refractive surgery, where students will gain insight into its operation and organization, with particular emphasis on the role of the optometrist; students will also receive practical training in the use of specialized instrumentation and equipment. The field trip also includes discussions with industry professionals and experts.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the field trip is to familiarize students with the applications of modern technologies, methods, and procedures in selected areas of optics, optometry, and ophthalmology within real-world professional settings. Students will also gain insight into the operation and organization of these workplaces, as well as their specialized instrumentation and equipment.
The student is familiar with the practical application of modern optical technologies and the operation of a clinical refractive surgery facility, including the role of the optometrist and the use of specialized diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
