Course content
- Classification of optical aberrations - Description of aberrations by the Zernike polynomials - RMS, PSF, MTF, quality of the image - Aberration of the eye optical system, influence on the vision - Prevalence of aberration in population - Influence of eye optical elements on the total eye aberration state - Methods and equipment for aberration examination with regard to the eye - Possibilities of aberration correction - Refractive surgery and correction of abberations - Present technology and methods for individualisation of the correction ads with regard to the higher order aberrations.

Lecture
Learning outcomes
To familiarize with the classification of eye aberrations with regard to the Zernike classification, influence on the vision and correction possibilities.
Knowledge Define the main ideas and conceptions of the subject, describe the main approaches of the studied topics, recall the theoretical knowledge for solution of model problems.
