Course content
|
The course provides students with an overview of the most important translation schools, directions, and translatological literature. The course also includes a selection of the most common translation problems in translation between unrelated languages, such as Dutch and Czech, and outlining their solutions in practice.

Learning outcomes
|
The task of the discipline is to provide the students with an orientation in basic theoretical themes of the theory and methodology of translation, whose knowledge they can apply creatively in practical translation seminars and exercises. The course provides students with an overview of the most important translation schools, directions, and translatological literature.
Deepening thinking about translatological practices, the ability to analyze correct and incorrect translations, obtaining an overview of the most important translation schools, directions, as well as translatological literature.

Prerequisites
|
Basic knowledge of translatology in the scope of master studies in philological disciplines.
