Course content
The students carry out a complex analysis of stylistically miscellaneous Dutch texts. To achieve this goal they make use of their knowledge of various linguistic disciplines (morphology, syntax, lexicology). They learn how to perceive the means of the text coherence, identify and correctly use the connectors and how to evaluate a text in a complex way. The students also rehearse for example the basic principles concerning the transformations of the simple sentence (passivisation, negativisation, deagentisation, nominalisation), using infinitive and verbonominal construction or sentence modality.
