Course content
|
Explanation of Dutch syntax beginning with the predicate and ending with the attributives. Schedule of lectures: 1) The system of the Dutch sentence and sentence elements; 2) the predicate; 3) construction of the Dutch sentence, word order in main and subordiante clauses; 4) subject; 5) direct and prepositional objectl; 6) indirect object; 7) causal object, state determination; 8) adverbial clauses; 9) predicative complement, determination of measure; 10) attributes; 11) subordinate clause; 12) brief subordinate clauses; 13th week) recapitulation of the semester.

Learning outcomes
|
The course acquaints the students with Dutch syntaxis. During the lessons modern Dutch and Flemish ideas on syntaxis are discussed. Attention is vowed to the word order in main clauses and subordinate clauses that is in Dutch language different.
The students will be able to analyse and classify the parts of the sentence up to Dutch classification that slightly differs from the Czech one. Improvement of the skills in Dutch language.

Prerequisites
|
Basic knowledge of Dutch (subjects NIZ/1JCV1, 1JCV2, 2JCV1, 2JCV2), ability to speak and understand Dutch at the CEFR level B1 till B2. Course Morphology (NIZ/2MOR). Presence in the lessons (maximal allowed absence is twice per term).

Mark, Written exam, Student performance, Written exam
Presence in the course (maximal absence twice during the term), preparation of homework. During the term there will be some five written tests (sample clauses to be examined).
