Within this course the students get familiar with theoretical principals of both verbal and non-verbal communication and develop their communicative skills in their mother tongue with regard to mostly their oral skills. Firstly they exercise their verbal production through the means of various speaking exercises dealing primarily on correct pronunciation, speech pace and speech fluency. They also work on broadening their active vocabulary and improving their language correctness. Subsequently the students improve their presenting skills and learn various techniques how to avoid being nervous when presenting. A number of practical exercises are being video- or audio-recorded.
