Course content
Within this course the students get familiar with theoretical principals of both verbal and non-verbal communication and develop their communicative skills in their mother tongue with regard to mostly their oral skills. Firstly they exercise their verbal production through the means of various speaking exercises dealing primarily on correct pronunciation, speech pace and speech fluency. They also work on broadening their active vocabulary and improving their language correctness. Subsequently the students improve their presenting skills and learn various techniques how to avoid being nervous when presenting. A number of practical exercises are being video- or audio-recorded. These recordings get analysed and evaluated.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to further develop the students' communicative skills in their mother tongue, especially with regard to their oral skills. The students gradually get familiar with the basic principles of effective communication, carry out various tasks (specific oral exercises) and learn how to present in a correct and effective way. A selected number of practical exercises is being video- or audio-recorded. There recordings are subsequently being analysed and evaluated.
To get familiar with the basic presentation skills in the mother tongue and to improve the students' speaking skills. The students apply the theoretical knowledge concerning the verbal and nonverbal communication in their oral production.
