Course content
Main emphasis is being put on working with authentic texts present e. g. within the textbook ff NL leren - Module 1B or in the textbook Nederlied. week 1) introduction, discussing the content of the course and its link to the course Dutch Grammar 1; week 2) Dutch alphabet, poem Berceuse Nr. 2; week 3) song Eendje, ga je mee?; week 4) poem Luister, song Flink zijn; week 5) song Ik houd van alle vrouwen, poem Melopee; week 6) song Het is altijd lente; week 7) poem Voor de gelegenheid; week 8) song Ik ben een meisje uit de stad; week 9) song Ik heb geen zin om op te staan; week 10) poem Lieve Clara; week 11) song Per spoor; week 12) video Studiereis naar Nederland - part 1; week 13) conclusion, repetition concerning the final test.

Learning outcomes
The course "Dutch in Authentic Texts 1" (target language level A1 - CEFR) adds to and extends the language and cultural knowledge of the students which they obtain within the framework of the course Dutch Grammar 1. This is being done through the means of various addional materials which are systematically being used for the purposes of extending vocabulary, improving students pronounciations and intonation, as well as identifying and implementing the Dutch grammar rules in practice. To the typical course activities belongs the systematic usage of the Dutch songs for the foreign language purposes. These elements are according to the needs of the students being enriched with actual information and materials concerning the discussed matters available at public sources and concentrating on thematic extention of the vocabulary.
Building up Dutch vocabulary, basic lexical and oral skills.
Prerequisites
No pre-knowledge of the Dutch language is required.

Assessment methods and criteria
Didactic Test

Being present at the lessons, active participation in the educational activities, carrying out the homework tasks systematically, final written test.
