Course content
|
During the first two weeks we will give attention to basic phonetic features, orthography and some terminology. During the following six weeks we will focus on the Dutch vowels, the last six weeks will be vowed to consonants.

Learning outcomes
|
Lessons of Dutch phonetics and phonology including exercises of pronounciation and correct graphic representation of the sounds.
After the course the student will have a basic knowledge and skill of Dutch vowels and consonants, as well as of their graphic representation. The student will have as well basic knowledge of the phonetic alphabet (IPA) and of phonetic terminology.
