Learning outcomes
The course consists of several seminars with discussions of books on current topics. The books are related to at least one of the three areas: (i) globalization and capitalism, (ii) prosperity and inequality, (iii) sustainability and future. Provided there is at least one foreign student without knowledge of Czech language enrolled in the course, the course will run in English.

Prerequisites
The course has no formal prerequisites, but a basic knowledge of economics and development and environmental studies is an advantage.

Assessment methods and criteria

The evaluation is based on interim tests at the beginning of each seminar.
