Course content
|
The field trip usually lasts 7 - 10 days, depending on the selected region. The field trip consists of presentations and discussions with experts from the organizations working in the field of development. Various discussions among the students also present a very important and integral part of the whole field trip.

Learning outcomes
|
The main aim of the course (field trip) is to visit institutions and organizations working in regions where Czech and international government and non-governmental development organization are involved (Moldova, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina?) The trip consists of various visits, presentations and discussions with experts from World bank, UNDP, local enterprises and NGOs, Czech embassy and gives students a chance to learn about the Czech development projects realized in the visited regions.
During the field trip students are expected to gain a real overview of the situation in the selected country. Upon return, students should be able to identify development problems and opportunities of the visited country.

Assessment methods and criteria

Written exam, Student performance, Dialog, Seminar Work
The active participation during the whole field trip is required. Students are obliged to take a part in each presentation and to actively participate in the disucssions. Upon return students are required to complete some of the following chosen activities (to prepare information package about the organizations, to create a poster, to write an article etc.). These activities will be divided among students before or during the field trip.
