Learning outcomes
|
The course is theoretical and practical. Students are introduced to the rudiments of modetn management in material and HR, creating strategies for quality management in healthcare facilities and social care. Students learn about the theory of quality management, methodology to ensure standards of nursing care and audits. In health and economy, the course provides an overview of key areas. Students learn about the costs cover and reimbursement, about healthcare business and economic aspcts of enterpreneurship in healthcare.
The students will be able to explain the increasing role of management, will be able to apply basic principles and methods of management in everyday practice, will acquire knowledge about team leadership, will be able to carry out the functions of management (within competence), will be able to identify the workplace policy and select a suitable strategy to work with a team, will be able to use and apply positive managerial techniques and strategies appropriately, will have the prerequisites for quality management and risk management in the area of nursing care.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Dialog, Seminar Work
Activity in class, taking part in discussion, completing assignments for seminars. Students must complete 80% of assigned tasks or produce a 5-page seminar work to compensate for a missed tasks on a given topic.
