Course content
Content: 1.Introduction to healthcare entrepreneurship, personality prerequisites for business 2.Healthcare business models: types of business models, value proposition and customer segmentation in healthcare 3.Strategic planning in healthcare 4.Scanning of external environment of healthcare organization, market analysis and opportunity assessment 5.Analysis of internal environment of healthcare organization 6.Healthcare operations and supply chain management 7.Marketing strategies for healthcare products and services The teaching methods used include: the basic methods are reproductive (testing, examination, repeating), problem interpretation methods and case studies, supplemented with information-receptive methods (interpretation, explanation, description), verbal and demonstration methods (presentation).

Learning outcomes
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and navigate the unique challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship in the healthcare industry. The necessary requirements for commencing entrepreneurial operations, both in terms of legislation and business practices, are analysed. Entrepreneurs entering the healthcare industry are obliged to undertake a range of activities, from managing business operations to establishing relationships with health insurance companies and engaging with suppliers specializing in various domains. These activities are essential for the provision of healthcare services and the successful establishment of a healthcare business. Through practical exercises, students will gain insights into the entrepreneurial mindset and develop the tools required to create and manage successful healthcare organization.
