Course content
1. The history of the provision and payment of health care in our country. Definition of primary, secondary and tertiary care. 2. Health policy in the Czech Republic and in the world, the World Health Organization. 3. Models of health management in our country and the world. The legal status of providers, recipients and payers of care. 4. Health insurance system. 5. Legislative requirements for health care providers. Specifics fields complement. 6. The organization of medical education in the country. Specifics of the paramedical professions. Professional organization in health care. 7. Medical Statistics, National Health Information System, the National Cancer Registry. 8. Preventive programs. 9. Laboratory information systems and data protection in health care. 10. Basics of Hygiene and Epidemiology , public health protection. 11. Monitoring the quality of health care. 12. Principles of medical ethics, patient rights , the rights of health professionals. 13. Specifics of medical ethics in the fields of complement. 14. Meaning and organizations thanatologic services in the country.

After completing the course the student should be able to: - Describe the basic legislative framework. - To characterize the formal and informal ethical standards. - To characterize the basic models of health care, health insurance and regulatory mechanisms. - Explain the methods of monitoring the health status of the population and health statistics methods.
