Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Demonstration, Laboratory Work
Learning outcomes
Students learn the basic principles of biochemistry and metabolic regulation to the extent necessary for interpretation of physiological and pathophysiological events in the human organism. In the practical part, they have to be able to follow the principles of good laboratory practice, perform simple biochemical analyses and evaluate the results of simple laboratory tests.
Students will be able to apply acquired knowledge in the therapy of patients.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of high school biochemistry.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Oral exam, Written exam

Active attendance in practicals, written test.
