Course content
Basic principles of statistical reasoning, deduction and induction, risks of errors, the types of errors, kinds of clinical studies, concepts of population and sample taken from it and random sampling methods. The types of data, descriptive statistics, the characteristics of the data location and variability should be presented, the same for frequency distribution, distribution function and theoretical models of probability distributions; also the principles of testing hypotheses, parametric and non-parametric tests as well, correlation and regression should be presented.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Training in job and motor Skils
Learning outcomes
The goal is to make students familiar with basic principles of statistical reasoning, deduction and induction, with risks of the errors and the kind of errors, with the kind of clinical studies, with the concepts of population and the sample taken from it and with the random sampling methods. The kinds of data, descriptive statistics, the characteristics of the data location and variability should be presented, the same for frequency distribution, distribution function and theoretical models of probability distributions; also the principles of testing hypotheses, parametric and non-parametric tests as well, correlation and regression should be presented.
When going through the subject the student should be able to implement acquired knowledge in practice and in the research activities as well, student should manage the basic techniques of statistical computation by means of the statistical software accessible.
Prerequisites
Students ought to have fundamental attainments in mathematics and statistics at the secondary education level.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Student performance

Tutorial completion, meet the point limit for written test.
