Learning outcomes
|
The goal of the subject is explanation of physical principle of electromagnetic radiation, physics of atomic nucleus, basic principles of sources and detectors of ionizing radiation. The students become familiarized with the principle of computer tomography and magnetic resonance, basic principles of image digitalization, computer analysis of medical image data and ultrasound methods used for diagnostics and therapy. During practical training, the students will work with basic laboratory technique, instrumental technique for detection of ionizing radiation. They will measure parameters of GM tube, scintillation detectors, emitter activity, familiarize with gamma radiation spectrometry and dosimetry, image analysis.
The students will be able to understand and work with basic medical instrumental technique detecting ionizing radiation.
