Course content
Contemporary concept of educational area Language and Language Communication with focus on Czech language and liteature in the 1st to 5th grade of elementary school. Teaching methods and principles, evaluation and classification. Lesson planning, various teaching forms and aids. Types of orthography, Orthographical exercises, their evaluation and classification. Phonology. Didactic games, methods of activation.

Learning outcomes
Aim of the course is to introduce contemporary concept of teaching Czech language at elementary school. Attention is paid on new legislative delimitation of the subject within the FEP EE. Further, students get acquainted with textbooks, teaching aids, principles, methods and forms of working at elementary school (1st to 5th grade).
