1. Czech poetry in the time of Nazi occupation; Poets´ reaction to the liberation; 2. Post-war writings of pre-war poets: V. Nezval, K. Biebl etc. 3. Jaroslav Seifert 1945-1986; 4. Poetic groups in post-war period; 5. Golden 60s. 6. Underground: E. Bondy, I. M. Jirous, J. H. Krchovský etc.; 7. Generation of the "35 years-old"; 8. "Generation" of lonely runners.

Learning outcomes
|
Analysis and interpretation of major poetic works of authors Czech literature of the period 1945-1989 and the inclusion of these books in literary and historical context. Analysis of the poetic works of contemporary authors, theme, motif, poetic and verse analysis, literary genealogy. The interpretation of a literary text, revealing its ties to earlier poetic collections of the author and literary comparisons within the same literary generation, possibly in the context of literary direction to which the author is sorted.

Student performance, Seminar Work
Presentation of a seminar work providing an individual analysis of a specific poet/poetic work from the 2nd half of the 20th century. Attendance rate of at least 80 %.
