Course content
Themes addressed in the projects: The truth and lies in the world of the mass media. Misinformation, fake news and propaganda (eg political). Hoaxes and urban legends. Tabloid vs. serious media. Media stereotypes (racial, national, gender). Advertising and its effect on man (product placement).

Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - Search, sort and systemize information, distinguish between trusted and untrusted resources. - To argue appropriately, to defend your opinion based on facts. - To design a suitable project (using the project method of teaching) aimed at developing the media literacy of elementary school pupils. - Develop a project focusing on media literacy and present its results to the audience (eg. in the form of a press conference).
