Course content
Topics: Syntax as a science discipline. Sentence and testimony. Syntagma. Syntactical relationships. Fundamentals of valency syntax (valence verbs, basic sentence structure, grammatical sentence formula). Predicate, predicate types, hypothetical secondary sentence. Entity, sub-structure, subordinate theoretical. Object, secondary object object. Adverbiale, basic classification, adverbial secondary phrase. Congruent and non-congruent attribute, adjacent theoretical attribute. The verbal attribute, secondary subsidiary sentence. The phrase paratactic and hypotactic. Text construction. Fundamentals of stylistics (slope factors, a set of functional styles, stylistic use of resources of individual language plans).

Learning outcomes
After completing the course students should be able to: - define a syntagma and clarify which syntagma expressions enter, - to clarify the basic relationships between sentence members and to identify them in simple sentence analysis, - define the valency concept of syntax, apply its knowledge to the creation of grammatical formulas, to identify and correctly name individual sentence members, to list and characterize their types, to examples to demonstrate the differences between them, - to clarify the basic types of sentences in Czech, - Perform a complex syntactic analysis of simple sentences and sentences including a hierarchical graphical record, - use the resources of the individual language plans with regard to their style.
