Course content
Common genres in reading children and young people and their didactic potential in terms of RVP ZV objectives. Current topics in contemporary literature for children and youth. Progress of genre boundaries in contemporary literature for children and youth. Forms of artistic and educational literature for children and youth. Image and text in contemporary literary works for children and youth. Theoretical reflection of contemporary literature for children and youth in specialized magazines and specialized literature.

After completing the course students should be able to: - to evaluate current trends in the development of Czech and world literature for children and youth; - assess the artistic quality of contemporary domestic and translational products for children and young people; - to assess the didactic potential of readers of genres and works of Czech and world literature for children and youth; - to evaluate the current state of theoretical reflection of literature for children and youth.
