Course content
|
The course focuses on the basic characteristics of the diploma thesis, including the theoretical basis (theoretical basis, the basis of work) and the empirical part (including own research). Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject acquaints students with the ways of selecting a suitable topic (actuality, contribution, practicality, compliance with the graduate profile), working methods (in accordance with the citation standards and the internal guidelines of the PdF UP), the possibilities of realization of the research - both the form of the quantitative, both qualitative and mixed research. The course focuses on work focused on the collection and evaluation of data (eg finding information, opinions, attitudes, prevalence, interpretation, etc.), as well as work focused on the analysis of the existing (analysis of the work, analysis of the author, etc.). The subject focuses on quantitative research methods.

Learning outcomes
|
After completing the course students should be able to: - Propose logically clear and clear diploma work that meets the standards of work of this type. - Create a functional design of the research carried out in the framework of the thesis. - Choose a suitable research methodology, including a research tool, a research procedure, an appropriate timetable for data collection, ways to evaluate and interpret data. - Formulate research issues, questions and hypotheses. - To process the discussion as an integral part of the diploma thesis, which puts the results of the work into the context of the results of other researchers - both domestically and internationally. - Process a list of literature that complies with the citation standards (ISO 690-2). - Ensure language quality of work (spelling, typography, stylistics).
