Course content
|
The essence, function and content structure of literature for preschool children. Specific features of literature for preschool children with an emphasis on contemporary works. Characteristics of the most frequent genres of children's literature (folk and artificial poetry, folk and author's fairy tale, story with a child hero, art-educational and popular education literature) and the possibilities of their use in the development of reading literacy. The issue of literary kitsch in children's literature. Deepening the skill of interpreting an artistic text.

Learning outcomes
|
After completing the course, students should be able to: - understand the essence, functions and content structure of literature for preschool children, - assess and evaluate the current state and development of children's literature, - justify the contribution of artistic literature to the personal development of children, - choose adequate methods of interpreting a literary text, justify their choice and work with examples in such a way as to develop the key competencies of preschool children, - demonstrate the possibilities of using literary samples in practical activities, - clarify the developmental stages of reading with a focus on emergent literacy, - apply methods and methods that develop reading literacy in educational activities within the kindergarten, - demonstrate the ability to select a suitable text for didactic interpretation and create a proposal for the didactic interpretation of the given text - plan and implement complete preparation for an educational activity with children of preschool age.

Assessment methods and criteria

Student performance, Seminar Work, Written exam, Final project
For the colloquium, they hand in a portfolio = make up worksheets, or aids, or a proposal for an experience project with a book. Requirements for students with ISP: - submission (in printed form) of a two-page worksheet based on a literary text and designed to develop reading literacy in kindergarten. Submission of a four-page essay on the possibility of developing pre-literacy reading through literature in kindergarten. Via STAG - "term paper" link, the topic of the paper is your name.
