Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written exam

CREDIT TEST Credit will be given in the form of a written test that will focus only on practical skills based on an understanding of particular aspects of morphology. The pass mark will be set at 75%. Students who score C or better on the exam will be given credit for the grade. EXAM The exam will only be given to students who (1) received a grade of D or worse on the credit test or (2) succeeded only on the 1st or 2nd remediation or (3) did not attend class on 5/9/2025 as scheduled. The examination will be oral and will be based on the topics published in MS Teams. The student will always draw one topic area, about which he/she should be able to speak independently for about 10 min. The student should be able to give concrete examples of each piece of knowledge using language material (e.g. in the case of SD classification, he/she should give examples of word types, or point out transitional areas; or in the case of morphematic analysis, identify the types of morphemes and their functions, etc.). Even in the oral examination, the student may be asked to demonstrate his/her knowledge using specific language material provided by the examiner.
