Course content
The essence of dramatic art as an artistic kind, basic terminology and genre span. Transformations of drama in the context of political and social changes, especially since the 20th century. Significant theater personalities and their artistic activities. The Characteristics of Relationship Changes Author - Director - Actor - Viewer. Theaters of small scenes in a cultural and social context. Work with theater performances and other information sources. Analysis and interpretation of selected dramatic texts and their productions. Reflection of students' own experiences and their perception of the dramatic text and various attributes of the theatrical performance.

Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
After completing the course students should be able to: Define basic terminology in the field of theatrology, especially in the context of the study of Czech language teaching and literature, but also in the context of the needs of an instructed viewer; Explain the peculiarities of drama as a distinctive artistic kind; to focus on the current trends in theater; to characterize genres and genre variants of drama, especially in the context of modern artistic creation; to appreciate the production of prominent theater and dramatists on the basis of their specific selected works and wider artistic achievements; to analyze and interpret a specific theatrical text or its production.
