Course content |
Criteria for selecting pupils' reading mature text. Didactic interpretation of the artistic text (principles and general procedure). Poetry in the System of Literary Education - Specifics of lyrical poetry, general problems of poetry in literary education. Teacher as the primary factor in educating the reader. Literary creativity of pupils - Positives and difficulties of this activity in literary education. Pupils and poetry - the search for the meaning of poetry, the reception of poetry, the pupil's creativity. The influence of age differences on reading poetry. The meaning and aim of literary history and theory in literary education. Didactic knowledge of content in literary education. Developing cross-curricular relationships. Project instruction.

Learning outcomes |
After completing the course students should be able to: - to justify the contribution of artistic literature to the pupil's personal development, - select and didactically interpret artistic text, - Apply the theoretical knowledge regarding the support and development of reading literacy of pupils when working with a specific text, - to design and defend appropriate methodological procedures aimed at working with the artistic text, - to define, apply and assess methodological practices aimed at developing literacy literacy of pupils, - Analyze and justify the main pitfalls in working with the poetic text, - to assess the possibilities of developing literary creativity in pupils (creative writing, genre transformation, drama); - to evaluate the place of literary theory and history in literary education (aim, meaning, scope). - demonstrate the ability to develop cross-curricular relationships, - Plan and implement a complete preparation for the lesson, - Design project based on artistic literary text.

Assessment methods and criteria |
Student performance
Active participation in classes. Completion of partial seminar assignments. Submission of a set of reading lessons with methodology according to the assignment (i.e. own reading book). Exam. |
