Adventure literature for children and youth and its genre variants, important Czech authors. Fantasy and its genre variants, important representatives in Czech literature. Comics in the literature for children and youth. Forms of triviality in the literature for children and youth. Literary prizes awarded for literature for children and youth.

After completing the course students should be able to: - appreciate the work of prominent authors of Czech prose with children and teenage characters to evaluate the current trends in the development of this genre; - view current literature for children and youth with historical and biographical themes, evaluate the current state trends in the development of this genre; - specify genre variants of adventure literature and evaluate the work of prominent Czech authors, - to compare and evaluate the artistic level of Czech and foreign fantasy literature; - analyze and interpret selected artistic text taking into account the content of the subject in the context of the author's creation and the time of its creation; - formulate and present your own interpretation with respect to the subject selected title of literature for children and youth; - Evaluate the artistic level of literary work intended for children and youth, specifying the characters of trivial literature.
