Course content
1st Definition - science and pseudoscience, scientific disciplines and their interdependence, transdisciplinary approach and models of development sciences (y). 2nd Information resources - institutions and organizations, professional periodicals, information servers. 3rd Periodicals with scientific focus - special, general rubric of periodicals and online portals. 4th Reflections - specifics of work scientific journalists. 5th - 13 Practice - creation, presentation and evaluation of own communications

Learning outcomes
The course is grounding students to systematically monitor and journalistic processing of the topics in science, particularly natural sciences, and their applications in society. Introductory part of the course will be devoted to presentation of the study area, getting to know the basic structure of information resources and periodicals that deal with scientific topics, and reflect the specifics of journalistic work in the area. The main concern of course is practical search and processing of current and essential topics (communication are creating their own) and creating of rubric Science in depatrment's e-zine
Students will acquire practical and professional competences and routines that anable them to work independently in given area and the students will be prepared for the practical part of the final examination.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

Requirements for credit Regular monitoring will be required to print national periodicals focused on the economy and economic supplements or parts of at least one national newspaper. Monitoring will also be an economically-oriented programs in electronic media. From the above media will be taken in addition to its own production examples for analysis. Six contributions to selected topics. Contributions will be published on katederním e-zine, a semester long project (may be in the group 2-3 students) - eg analysis of a periodical / sections, etc. (by prior appointment with the teacher). Colloquium: debate by defense communication are developed and verify the theoretical knowledge acquired under the thematic headings course.
