Learning outcomes
The course is designed as an introduction to basic terminology and problems of aesthetics. The selected topics will be approached from a systematic perspective. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the problem and its solution. The course is planned as a twelve two-hour sessions combining form of lectures and seminars, where each of the issues discussed on the basis of independent reading and seminar analysis of the texts presented in Czech or English
Students will learn how to understand key issues and their solutions within theory and philosophy of art. They will get acquainted with relevant academic studies to selected problems and their critical analysis. They will be able to apply method of analytical aesthetics, i.e. to analyse way, how we speak about art and aesthetic phenomena.
Prerequisites
No special competences are required.

Assessment methods and criteria
Essay, Dialog

Prerequisite for the granting of credit is in addition to participation an oral presentation or academic essay related to one of discussed topics.
