The course provides a basic insight into the problems of media and their status and functioning in society. Students learn the basic concepts, categories and disciplines that can be seen in the study of contemporary media.
Students are acquitanced with the central themes and concepts related to the study of media. Students are familiar with the contemporary approaches in cultural studies. |

Assessment methods and criteria |
Written exam
The condition for obtaining credit is 1. attendance (maximum two absences are allowed) and 2. active preparation for lectures, verified continuously in the form of tests. In order to receive credit, an overall 70% pass rate on both the midterm and final tests is required. The exam will be written. |
