Learning outcomes
The course provides the basic concepts of the theory of creation and perception of an image, whether in painting theory, theory of photography, film theory and other disciplines (eg psychology), and places them in the context of comprehensive media communications. The center of interest are the possibilities of interpretation and analysis of visual communication. They outlined the basic concepts of models of understanding and theoretical reflection image video communication and visual experience. The aim of this course is to enhance visual literacy and analytical skills to reflex visual communication, as in the case of static images (images in the narrower sense, photographs, etc.) and dynamic (movie, TV, etc.).
Students acquire basic knowledge about fundamental topics of theory of image Students acquire a set of key terms for interpreting the image Students evaluate the role of the image in the current society

Seminar Work

Requirements for credit: - Regular active participation in seminar (max. 2 absences) - Preparation for seminars (knowledge of assigned texts) - Final test (80% success rate) Requirements for examination: - Final paper (5 standard pages) - Knowledge of the discussed topics and key terms
