Course content
1. Basics of composition writing reports. The transfer of theoretical knowledge into practice. 2. Report in the basic form. Entire message. Comparison of specific examples of printed periodicals, the creation of custom reports on the opening assignment. 3. Information sources. Research. How and where to find information on how to assess and use a specific text. 4. Working with the news agency. Practical arrangements agency reports into a newspaper report. 5. Create a short report based on specific information entered. How to write a report to the section "Briefly". 6. How to prepare poll. Practical test. 7. Information from the press conference, processing into a comprehensive report. 8. Working with the press announcement of the bureau or agency. How to create a report from it. How to use the "report" from the newspapers and on city hall to work with it. 9. Interview as a key method of work as a genre. Intelligence vs. journalistic interview. Processing of different types of interview according to specification. 10. How to write a story. Practical test. 11. Note, gloss, comment. Writing texts of opinion on the chosen topic. 12. Practical examination skills of students - writing news and current affairs texts in a specific time limit - the editorial deadline. 13. Continuous public presentation of processed text and discussion of them.

Learning outcomes
Workshop of written journalism provides students with the methodological skills for working with text and background for the making of an independent journalism. During the semester, students will be on practical exercises to familiarize themselves with the main principles of work with information, their acquisition, evaluation and use in the production of specific texts. They will acquire journalistic practices for creating news and current affairs communications for various types of printed media and themselves to write and edit text on specified topics.
Students will acquire practical and professional competences and routines that enable them to work independently in given area and the students will be prepared for the practical part of the final examination.
Prerequisites
Completion of the course "News Reporting and Journalism".

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary)

Required knowledge and skills: - make news and publicistic texts. Credit: - Active and creative work in the seminar by teaching requirements - Delivery of three of its own news and current affairs of three texts published in a domestic printed periodicals - Participation in the seminar (min. 75%) Colloquium: defense developed tasks.
